Since way way back there has been disasters in the world. There has been heartbreak and sadness. There has been death and loss. There has been personal conflicts or family issues. There's been tears shed. All of those things are not new to any one person. HOWEVER, everyone faces those things in different ways. My heartbreak will not be the same as your heartbreak. My family issues will not be the same as yours, nor will the pain we feel and why we feel it.
I am so young, but I have always found it completely fascinating that we are each so different yet so similar. We each go through very different heartaches and experiences, yet we all cling onto whatever we can find that gives us hope. Whether it be a religion, a prayer, a friend, a song, an act of kindness, etc.
And that is my point. You may not see things how I see it, and that is okay. We may not agree on the same values, and we may not hope in the same way for the same things, and there is absolutely no problem with that. But we should all be understanding. We should all try to lift each other up, and when someone loses their hope in humanity, or themselves, or whatever it may be....give them the reason to raise their head up and believe again.
Because of course, we can all hope for something, and cling onto that hope in our lives. But hope doesn't do anything without action. So be the action, be the act of hope for somebody else. People always say "You never know who needs it" but in reality, everyone needs it. Everyone needs to feel loved and appreciated, everyone needs to feel the little piece of hope in their heart that they will be okay. So be the hope you want to feel in your own life. Give someone else hope that this world, as crazy as it is getting, is good.
And if you ever feel like losing hope in whatever you may be going through I sincerely pray that you will find peace in your heart.
I pray this Christmas season we can all find someone to be a light to.
Below I have a list of 15 random kindness acts that you can participate in this Christmas Season and always.
Random Acts of Kindness:
1. Give a compliment to a stranger
2. Smile at everyone you see throughout the day.
3. Hold the door open for someone.
4. Offer to carry someone's belongings or groceries.
5. Write a Thank You, or Thinking of You note to someone.
6. Donate money to a charity
7. Write letters to Soldiers or the Elderly
8. Visit the Elderly
9. Anonymously clean something for a family member or loved one.
10. Pay for the person behind you.
11. Say Thank You to employees
12. Put money on a vending machine or movie machine.
13. Talk with someone who is feeling lonely.
14. Bring flowers to someone.
15. Offer to do someone's yard work or any service of their need.
These are just a few, and most are VERY simple. With all of the bad going on in the world that we may not be able to control, I hope that you can find love in your heart to be a friend, extend a hand, and just be there for people this Holiday season. Make the world a more hopeful beautiful place. The service doesn't need to be big by any means.....
Just give someone the hope that you would like to see in the world. So many people are losing it... and that is sad.
